Abstract :
In this paper we investigate the performance of an uplink distributed wireless communication system, in a Rayleigh fading channel. We consider a topology of one dimensional linear array of equally spaced receiving antenna. Assuming BPSK modulation, we compare the performance of proposed system, in that some of cells are cooperating for detection of signal, with that of traditional standard cell structure, where there is no cooperation between cells. Furthermore, we present an analytical expression for user BER when full cooperation between all cells exists. Simulation results show that the power gain, obtained by increasing the number of cooperating cells, depends on the distance of user from antenna array, normalized by antenna separation. For users further apart from antenna array, the cooperation between cells would be more effective.
