Abstract :
The distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attack has posed a great threat to the Internet, while attack source traceback is one of the important methods defending against DDoS and it has become more and more mature. However, the existing traceback technology could not be applied directly to the MANET owning to the dynamically-changing topology and limited-bandwidth. Besides, we could not achieve better traceback results since the earlier research mainly focus on the improvement of existing methods. In this paper, we will introduce a new method based on stable topology, and this method is derived by improving the topology stability of the MANET. Research indicates that it greatly improve the traceback success ratio.
