Abstract :
The successful deployment of RoF links is highly dependent on the availability of centralized and effective network management, which was not paid much attention before. In the context of centralized RoF network management, one of the crucial functions is to monitor the operating states of RAUs, and accordingly a control signal channel is also required to overlay the existing RF signal channel over a single fiber in downlink and uplink. In this paper, a hardware solution is proposed and experimentally demonstrated for potential RoF network management. It is expected to enable diagnosable RoF infrastructure by centralized network management.
