Abstract :
The need for a low power energy system including all the features of a large system in terms of performances, reliability, and maintainability, is growing. Westinghouse-SGTE has developed with France Telecom a new power rectifier system for application requiring low power, a high level of performance and small mechanical outlines (19" rack integration) like flexible optical connecting requirements. This equipment provides 48 V according to ETSI specifications and 6 A with redundancy. Rectifiers have been specifically designed to comply with electrical and mechanical requirements of this small rack. Battery management provides current limitation in charging mode, floating voltage compensation with temperature, periodic test on each string
