This article analyses the current situation of China´s Foreign Direct Investment to GMS four countries, including the regional structure, investment sector, type of enterprise and relevant domestic provinces as the source of FDI from China. Based on that, this article reveals the main characteristics and investment motivation of China´ FDI to GMS four countries. The FDI outflow of China to GMS four countries has been increasing rapidly, however it´s proportion in the total outflow of China´s overseas investment was small. The main investment sectors of China´s FDI concentrated on manufacturing which gave priority to the development of hydropower, and mining, the investment on highly value-added service industry was small, which shows that China´s FDI to GMS four Countries has not formed comprehensive pattern. At the same time, the enterprises´ investment motivation of China gave first place to resources exploiting and efficiency-orienting.
