Abstract :
This paper explores the use of redundant residue number systems to incorporate incremental redundancy in a communication system. By exploiting this property further, one can design an appropriate coding scheme for transmission at the currently experienced SNR level. A link adaptation procedure and an adaptive decoding method is presented for the efficient implementation of the system. The proposed system is extensively simulated with parameters suitable for wireless local area network (WLAN) standards and the results are discussed
