Abstract :
The author examines successful cases where computerized display information has evolved as a useful accident-management tool. A discussion of how computer-generated information has been included as a useful accident management tool within each of four main nuclear reactor vendor groups is provided. The systems discussed include plants that have integrated upgraded parameter display systems, and a plant process computer advisor in accident management. It is noted that there are still problems to be worked out in the areas of technical content, information reliability, and rules for use.<>
