Abstract :
The Echo Mapper AUVs that have been brought into service by Fugro are configured to be easily transported on commercial aircraft and mobilized onto local vessels-of-opportunity anywhere in the world for short and/or time sensitive surveys. Examples of recently acquired data demonstrate the very high-resolution seafloor mapping data that can be acquired to depths of 3,000 meters using this full function (multibeam bathymetry, side-scan sonar, subbottom profiler, and advanced integrated navigation) AUV.
