Abstract :
In the application of fence anti-intrusion, weak barrier coverage is enough for intruder detection when sensor nodes are stealthy. Based on this application, we analyse the problem of L-local weak barrier coverage, and propose a weighted weak barrier coverage algorithm(WWCA). WWCA could check the coverage condition and choose an optimal combination of nodes to provide weak barrier coverage in a short time. Besides, local weak-barrier-coverage sleep-wakeup scheme (LWSS) is proposed to extend the network lifetime. It executes WWCA to decide active nodes locally, and uses back-off algorithm to solve conflict problem. The simulation results show that, compared with RIS and LBCP, LWSS has better performance of prolonging the network lifetime.
