Abstract
In the article the laboratory research on a flow control valve driven by electromechanical transducer made of a magnetic shape memory alloy (MSMA) is presented. It is a new group of materials which allows generating linear movement and force. The MSMA materials change their shape under a magnetic field influence. The researched valve is a prototype enabling to determine an operating limit of an electromechanical transducer working under pneumatic load. The experimental research of the control flow valve was carried out and the PID controller was proposed to control flow rate in a pneumatic system control.
