  • Abstract
This paper studies the switching control methods of an Interleaved Buck Converter (IBC) with regard to output ripple reduction. Switching control methods are PWM and sigma delta modulation. The IBC used in this paper is the improved one which has some advantages over conventional IBC, e.g., higher efficiency according to reduction inswitches losses. In order to have ideal output, a PID controller is implemented such that the output voltage is regulated on the predefined value. Some indices are proposed in this paper in order to compare the waveform of the output voltage in the two mentioned switching methods. The values of indices show the effectiveness of the proposed method to control the IBC.
