Abstract
The authors report on the development and verification of the antenna assembly on ERS-1. ERS-1 carries an imaging synthetic aperture radar, a wind scatterometer measuring ocean surface winds, a radar altimeter, an along track scanning radiometer with a microwave sounder, and a precise range and range rate experiment. Concerning performance verification, the decision was made to test the antennas separately and to estimate the impact of the whole assembly.<>
