Abstract :
We investigated the optical SNR penalty due to the Raman effects among WDM channels in dual-band repeated transmission, where a 5.8 dB penalty is predicted after 64-WDM 500-km transmission over SMF. We propose a penalty compensation technique and demonstrate its effectiveness.
