Abstract :
Advances in mobile devices´ and networks´ technology have set a challenging pace for all new proposals in the rapidly growing domain of mobile communications. The decade of the 90´s brought a revolution in mobile computing. The explosion in sales of laptop PCs as well as personal digital assistants and cellular phones has marked the beginning of a new era in the users´/consumers´ needs and demands from the network providers. Users of today opt not only for voice and multimedia applications but also for mobility. It is evident that high-speed wireless networks like WATM together with the use of IP are becoming more than an in vitro area of research
