Radiation range of expressway exit and entrance is defined as the plane of its economic radiation region. This paper analyzes the features of radiation range of expressway exit and entrance, such as layered space distribution, extension in direction and dynamic development of radiation range. It also discusses the mechanism with regard to how the expressway exit and entrance bring about the intense aggregation of socio-economic factors like industry, population and capital through its great economic radiation function with the push of scale effect and diffusion effect as a preponderant location spot along the line of expressway and the great increase in efficiency and utility of land use in radiation range with an impact on the socio-economic development of broader region around radiation range of the expressway exit and entrance. Besides, this paper has done a positive analysis by taking Xi´an-Baoji Expressway Exit and Entrance Yangling as example. The analysis result shows that the expressway exit and entrance can change the structure, raise the levels and harmonize the function of land use to make land use to be rationalized by its economic radiation function.
