Abstract
Setting in the background of global economic fluctuation, the relationship between E-business of commercial bank and consumer behavior is a new issue in China. At the present, the profit of commercial banks in China mainly comes from traditional business (deposit and loan business), showing a great gap in the development of intermediary business when compares with banks abroad in developed country. Without any doubt, electronic information technology has brought enormous change in both financial industry and consumption filed. Based on the consumption model of Keynesianism, the study obtains a consumer spending extended model, which covers the usage of electronic payment tools, including internet banking payment, bank card payment and so on, also other relative factors. Meanwhile, through metering method, the essay attempts to analyze the influence of electronic application to banks on consumer spending and propensity to consume by using the data derived from consumers in Guangzhou and Zhuhai recently. The research result indicates that the absolute payment of bank card and E-bank rising will lead to not only the boost of private consumption, but also the enhancement of expense tendency, especially for those who has the experience of using the service of electronic banks before. Therefore, the electronic application to banks plays an active role in reducing the transaction cost, increasing the consumer welfare, enlarging the internal demand, stimulating economic growth and so on. At last, in accordance with the past and current consuming situation, the essay presents some suggestions on the improvement of electronic bank, ranging from policy, mechanism, to law and other aspects.
