Abstract :
A prototype system which is the first private automatic branch exchange (PABX) in China to integrate voice and data traffic is described. The design goal is to meet the current needs of telecommunications in China. Advanced techniques such as hybrid switching are used in this PABX. Descriptions of the system architecture, the techniques used, and the main modules are provided
