Abstract :
Today´s trends in industry towards integration of the modern technologies in the electric area, in particular variable speed drives, industrial automation, communications between processes and interactive visualisation, cannot be denied. However developing and learning these technologies and especially their symbiotic integration is difficult because of the novelty of the different technologies involved, the complexity of their interrelation, the high rate of change and evolution of them and the lack of appropriate training systems and teaching teams. The aim of the project described in this paper was to contribute to the solution of that problem
