Abstract :
Auto-focus technology is the core part of the automatic microscope system. This technology focuses on the problem that how to improve the accuracy and speed of focusing. And the focus-evaluation-function is used to measure whether the image is focused or not. According to comparison of the simulating results of several focus-evaluation-functions and combination with practical application, this paper proposes a microscope auto-focus method that video signal is directly intercepted from the images which are processed in real-time. Then, this paper discussed the key technologies including structure, principle and auto-focusing strategy. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms existing techniques by enhancing the accuracy and speed of auto-focus.
