Abstract :
This paper builds the studying model through literature reviewing, and then tests the relationships and the mediating effect of psychological empowerment between leadership style and employee innovative behavior based on statistical analysis of 21 IT firm samples. The studying finds that transactional leadership has a significant negative impact on employee innovative behavior, and that psychological empowerment partly mediates the relationship between transactional leadership and employee innovative behavior. The study also shows that transformational leadership has a significant positive impact on employee innovative behavior, and that psychological empowerment partly mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and employee innovative behavior. At last, this paper puts forward some theoretical meanings and management inspirations, as well as the future research directions.
