Abstract :
This paper presents a fuel cell simulation model, built to emulate its electrical behavior by using a DC-DC converter and loads. Therefore, a cascade control loop is used in this work to make the fuel cell emulator working with high efficiency. Simulations results are presented to validate emulator design and robustness of the control strategy using Matlab/Simulink. The structure of a proposed system is simple for its realization on a system dSPACE. Otherwise, a test of a commercial fuel cell is performed whose purpose is to determine the voltage-current characteristic of a fuel cell.
