Abstract :
Entire domain functions are applied to the analysis of reflector antennas. This leads to a reduction of the linear system under evaluation and enables the examination of larger configurations than is possible with subdomain functions. This technique is illustrated for paraboloidal and hyperboloidal reflectors, and the results are compared with data from both the Harrington and Mautz moment method and physical optics. In both cases, the patterns computed via this method are in good agreement with the available results. Although an increase in the matrix fill time occurs, a reduction in matrix size in excess of 95% is obtained.<>
