Abstract :
We propose a new model of aerial wireless emergency communication system which can satisfy a rapid and reliable communication with the outside world in disaster area. The architecture is described in detail in this paper. The aerocraft is equipped with the BTS (Base Transceiver Station) to form a temporary aerial BS (Base Station) and one or several Ad Hoc networks are formed by aerial BSs. Handhold terminals in disaster area can connect the outside communication systems through the aerial Ad Hoc BS network. Some key technical parameters such as coverage area, link attenuation and system capacity are also analyzed. The result shows that one aerial BS can cover a county which is a unit of an information isolated island, and suffice the basic communication requirements. It´s proved that this system is effective and feasible to be applied to meet an emergency.
