A 140 Mb/s video codec, (coder/decoder) is described. Special emphasis is given to data compression, frequency accommodation, and video alignment aspects. A scheme based in a ping-pong structure of elastic buffers and PLL, which explores the particular characteristics of the video signal, is presented
