Abstract :
In this paper we review two different field trials performed by Alcatel-Lucent in collaboration with two of the largest carriers in Europe: Telefonica and Telecom Italia. We demonstrated 400Gb/s transmission using a dual-carrier, software re-configurable transponder over deployed networks. Furthermore, we performed tests over flexible grids achieving sub-carrier spacing down to 37.5GHz.
