  • Abstract
    We designed and fabricated a bead atomic force microscopy (AFM) cantilever modified with gold nanoparticles (Au NPs) acting as nano-scale photothermal processing. The Au NPs were deposited on the glass bead by wet-chemical process. The surface number density of Au NPs was measured to be several units/μm2 by AFM and micro spectroscopy. The force curve measurement was also demonstrated using the Au NP-modified bead AFM probe.
