Abstract :
Echo enhancers in blood flow appear as particles in ultrasonic B-mode images. Moving particles in blood flow are different in size and speed from solid parts of major structures. Using these differences, echoic particles are extracted from the original B-mode images. Path lines of blood flow are demonstrated by overlapping the extracted particles. Superimposing the path lines on the original B-mode image with different color provides blood flow information and structure information on one plane. Based on this algorithm, a new method is developed to visualize path lines of blood flow, i.e. two-dimensional moving target indication (2D-MTI)
