Abstract :
The consolidation of multiple tenants into the same RDBMS instance turned out to be beneficial with respect to resource utilization and scalability. The consolidation implies that multiple tenants share the physical resources available for the RDBMS instance. Existing data management solutions are not designed for SaaS applications. It cannot be aware of the characteristics of application level tenants, and then it is difficult to accurately route to the data of the tenant. On the basis of analysis of the technical limitations of the existing index for SaaS application, the paper proposed one SaaS index model, including tenant node index, logical index and database physical index. And we described tenant node index in detail. Experiments results shows that the SaaS index model can support multi-tenant cloud storage technology, and can provide better access performance.
