The design of personalized knowledge integration platform using digitized information resources

This study proposes a personalized knowledge integration platform for personalized information and knowledge services. Two types of personalized services are provided: personalized information service and personalized subject category service. The former emphasize on providing the customized services for an individual user by using the Apriori algorithm to analyze the connection of personalized information needs. They include personalized materials recommendation and personalized message recommendation based on the analysis result of mining the historical transaction records that contains material circulations and message browsing. The later allow a user to build up the personalized knowledge environment in which he or she can receive subject related digital information recommendation to accumulate the subject knowledge. A prototype system of the personalized knowledge integration platform is designed and developed to demonstrate the proposed platform. The developed prototype is validated by the invited users to for its usability and opinions are used for its further improvement.
