Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel complexity-adjustable video coding algorithm for H.264/AVC-based wireless video communications through portable devices. To optimize the rate-distortion performance under power constraint in packet loss environment, we present a novel model that can adapt to the different channel conditions and computation power constraints. The experimental results demonstrate that the proposed scheme can minimize the end-to-end distortion in the environments with both power constraint and packet loss.
