Abstract :
This paper presents a design of wide-band power amplifier for applications of advanced wireless communication system. Diamond buffer and parallel cascode structure are used in this amplifier. In order to further expand the bandwidth, the inductance and capacitance compensation are also adopted. This has been developed and shown its 3 dB bandwidth from 9 kHz to 611 MHz, output power 21.7 dBm at 1 dB gain compression power, satisfied gain flatness with the disturbance less than ±0.5 dB, the power gain 12 dB within the bandwidth from 9 kHz to 500 MHz, and the harmonic suppression over the whole operational frequency band is greater than 30 dBc.
