Abstract :
The automation of power distribution systems is designed according to two contradictory design goals. On the one hand, power distribution systems have to be robust to avoid power outages even in presence of serious external disturbances, such as natural disasters, equipment failures or demand/supply fluctuations. Achieving this goal requires redundant hardware and sophisticated control algorithms. On the other hand, such systems have to be economically viable, and, moreover providing for efficient power consumption in accordance with the latest “green society” trends. The IUT has full controllability which is not possible for ordinary transformer. In this approach Fuzzy Logic Control is an intelligent advanced method based on Fuzzy Rules. Five layer topology with various services like 500Hz frequency, DC output voltage etc. are the benefits of this approach. Common sense, Human thinking and judgment are the lures of Fuzzy Logic. Non-Linearity, robustness, flexibility under variations of parameter are the added advantages of Fuzzy Logic Controllers.
