Abstract
The results of time-domain approximated theoretical studies of ultra-wide band antennas with impulse excitation in radiating and receiving modes are presented. The proposed simulation technique gives practically important results with evident physical meaning without sufficient programming efforts. Some antennas like monopole antenna, dipole antenna, bow-tie antenna and TEM horn-like antenna are under investigation. Theoretical results have been examined too for their verification by a special experimental technique which is described.
