Abstract :
The significance of electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) at a time when information technology has become a daily necessity is mandatory. In India, many organisations now made it mandatory for EMC certification of procured systems. BSNL (formally Department of Telecommunication) is such an organisation. RCI is engaged in EMC certification of various products according to applicable standards. In this paper, the authors present case studies which show how classical EMI hardening techniques like grounding, shielding and filtering can be used to achieve EMC in final products.
