A fast scheme to backup and restore database for database related courses

Datebase courses are improtant component in the curriculum of college or department of computer science in the university. To setup the experimental environment, there are many schemes existed but most of them need to be done manualy with low efficiencies. In this paper, a fast scheme to backup and restore database using Oracle 10g as an example for steupping the experimental envrionment is proposed. The idea is using two script files to automatically generate the batch file for backup and restore. Through experiment, the new scheme can speedup the efficiency ten times over the original scheme.
