Abstract :
In this paper, the input impedance of a kind of stacked microstrip patch antenna with a capacitance compensation probe feed is calculated via a mixed potential integral equation (MPIE) in the space domain and the method of moments (MoM). The input impedance bandwidth of the antenna is up to 25% under the condition that VSWR is less than 2. A first-order correction for the input impedance is made by adding the self-reactance of the probe. Good results are given.
