  • Abstract
Summary form only given. Information of magnetic surface function, such as (r Bt) and P, where Bt is a toroidal magnetic field and P is a kinetic pressure, is indispensable for equilibrium, stability and transport analyses of magnetically confined plasmas. For theoretical and numerical analyses, these functions are introduced from a consideration of relaxation processes, or artificially. So, to identify a more realistic surface function and compare those with theoretical ones, we are developing a code to interpolate a surface function from measured data of magnetic flux and so on. Equilibrium analysis routine used in this code can calculate those as a free-boundary problem and include shells of finite conductivity. At a first step where pressure P is given and numerically calculated flux data are used, it is confirmed that the function of (r Bt) can be interpolated with a sufficient accuracy. Hereafter, adding a pressure function as an unknown one, we will analyze surface function for experimental plasmas.
