Abstract :
A Feynman diagram theory approach to the nonlinear response of Bragg cells due to the elastic process is established. General formulas for calculating the nonlinear response due to both elastic and dynamic processes are summarized. Applying this general theory to a lithium niobate device, important conclusions about the design of multifrequency acoustooptic devices are obtained
