Abstract :
In this paper, the dispersion characteristics of a coupled-microstrip with tuning septums in a three-layer dielectric by the method of lines combined with the method of equivalent transmission lines are described. The effective dielectric constant versus the width of tuning slot, with the frequency as the parameter for even mode and odd mode in such a structure is calculated. This approach is particularly suitable for multiconductor coupling in multilayer dielectrics. A useful method for the design of three dimensional microwave integrated circuits (3D-MIC) is provided.
