Abstract :
The wavelength and polarization selective properties of plane arrays consisting of two cylinders per unit periodic cell are studied theoretically. The analysis is based on the efficient algorithm for calculating lattice sums and the recursive T-matrix approach. The cylindrical objects in the unit cell can be dielectric, metallic or a mixture of both and different dimensions. The numerical examples demonstrate interesting resonance profiles which are different from those of an array of single cylinders.
