Abstract :
This paper presents some aspects regarding the decrease of electromagnetic interference on the supply line taking into consideration three components of the consumed current by a digital circuit from the power supply: the switching current-ic, the static switching current-is and the direct current. For the low voltage logic circuits analyzed the decoupling depends on: logic subfamily type, pin number of the digital circuit, type of package of the digital circuit, type of decoupling capacitor and the type of supply line. For different practical situations the decoupling efficiency is determined
