Abstract :
A normalized two-dimensional band-limited Weierstrass fractal function is presented for modelling the rough surface. An analytic solution of the scattered field and variance of scattered intensity from the fractal surface are given based on Kirchhoff theory. The influence of fractal dimension, the patch size of the surface and the fundamental wavenumbers on the scattering field is discussed by theoretical analysis and numerical calculations.
