  • Abstract
More people are aging than before and the health problems associated with the elderly is also increasing. Stroke is one such problem and for post-stroke survivors with decreased muscle functions, the ability to return their motoric functions to a pseudo-normal level is very important to increase their quality of life. The current method of rehabilitation has been successful but it involves a lot of man hours from physiotherapists. This research focusses on a development of portable and wearable hand assistive device that can be easily carried to different settings such as homes, hospitals, offices, etc.
