Abstract :
We demonstrate microring resonator-coupled multimode-interference-based crossings in 2times2 cross-grid array filters in silicon-on-insulator. Our experiments reveal a Q of ~14000 and an extinction ratio of ~15 dB in the drop-port spectrum via cascaded microring-coupled crossings.
