Abstract
To improve the transmission performance of a time domain synchronous-OFDM (TDS-OFDM) system in a single frequency network (SFN), a simple space-frequency transmitter diversity scheme is introduced. Considering the frame structure of the TDS-OFDM system, simple configurations of transmitted signals are constructed. The proposed scheme maintains the original transmitter branch and the network structure is flexible to set up. Through the simulation, it is proved that the introduced scheme can achieve great diversity gain both in slow and fast fading channels and can improve the reliability of signal transmission. It would be applicable for TDS-OFDM in SFN.
