Abstract :
In this paper we propose a full automatic segmentation of the knee cartilage from magnetic resonance images (MRI). The new segmentation approach is based on a combination of the Vector Field Convolution (VFC) image´s features and radial search algorithm. The proposed approach provides an automatic segmentation and a 3D visualization of the knee cartilage.
