Abstract :
The innovation brought by the introduction of new technologies in modern society has also started to appear in education. The biggest efforts come from the institutions involved in distance education, partly due to the characteristics of the educational system they represent. The UNED, Spanish University for Distance Education, has made major advances among the educational centers in Spain. The current state of technological applications in the UNED is considered a reference for other national institutions, namely telematic tutoring, or videoconferences. This University is also participating in projects related to technological education. But the reality in Spain still shows a resistance to the application of technology in education, which is basically based in social and psychological factors. However, that application will succeed in a period of time shorter than expected
