  • Abstract
    A method is described to represent the heart rate variability in terms of frequency deviation. It can be applied to both electric and magnetic cardiographic signals. Based on three processing steps, generating the narrowband envelope, narrowband amplitude spectrum, and frequency domain autocorrelation sequence, a heart frequency deviation coefficient is defined that quantifies the heart rate variability in a reliable way
