Abstract :
Performance of array processing is severely impaired in the presence of mutual coupling and channel mismatch among sensors. In this paper, a novel method is proposed to solve the problem which is suitable for arbitrary arrays. In the proposed method, only one auxiliary signal source is used to transmit from different directions in different time, and the number of the directions is determined by the number of array sensors. The basic idea of the proposed method is mainly based on the orthogonal characteristic between signal subspace and noise subspace. Computer simulation results show the correctness and validity of the proposed algorithm.
