  • Abstract
    The ability of a network to support mobile terminals lies very much in the network architecture and the protocols used. The impact of mobile computers on the existing LAN architecture and the network protocols used are studied. A robust network architecture based on the DECT system is proposed, together with appropriate interworking procedures, which enable the network and protocols such as TCP/IP to handle mobile computing
